An opportunity to pitch to a large audience of international leaders from the energy industry is on offer for whoever has the best energy business concept at the Erasmus Energy Business Awards in June. The prize is part of the award to be presented at the Erasmus Energy Forum, hosted by Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) at the Beurs-World Trade Center in Rotterdam.

Businesses working in fields related to future energy business are invited to prepare their nominations for the Erasmus Energy Business Award. It’ll be presented during the Erasmus Energy Forum in Rotterdam on 18 June 2015, an event which presents a unique mix of ideas, new knowledge and networking opportunities. The Forum is relevant for managers working in the energy industry or responsible for procurement of energy for large end-users in industries such as supply chain and logistics, plus all kinds of manufacturing, high-tech and ICT, steel, chemicals and agriculture.

The winner of the Erasmus Energy Business Award will get a money-can’t-buy opportunity on the Forum stage in front of its audience of leaders from business, industry, including politicians, policymakers and academics as well as business leaders and managers. The deadline for nominations is 1 June, 2015.

This Award is for an individual, public institution, NGO, or business enterprise that has developed or implemented an innovative and sustainable energy concept or business model that contributes to improving the lives of people, business success, or the sustainability of the planet. It will be presented during Day 1 of the Erasmus Energy Forum in Rotterdam on 18 June 2015.

The winner will be invited to pitch their idea or concept from the stage to the whole audience at the Erasmus Energy Forum during a five-minute slot in the schedule. The winner can also make the most of the networking opportunities presented during breaks in the programme and the networking dinner on Thursday evening to increase their business connections and influence among participants from across the breadth of the industry. The Erasmus Energy Forum, organised by RSM’s specialist research centre, the Erasmus Centre for Future Energy Business (ECFEB) will address three aspects of the transition towards decentralised sustainable energy:

  • a strategy and policy perspective
  • the city perspective
  • the port perspective
