  • European Baccalaureate (EB)

General requirements

 
  • Mathematics minimum grade of 7.0 (minimum 5 hours) or a minimum grade of 8.0 for mathematics (minimum 3 hours) 
  • Applicants who do not meet the mathematics requirement may choose to take the IBA mathematics exam.
  • English minimum grade of 7.0 for English (Language 1 or 2). All other applicants are required to take an English language test
  • Applicants who do not meet these requirements will be placed in the lower tiers of the ranking

  • Granted for a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 8.0 (80%)

A screenshot or self-made Word/excel document with your grades is not accepted. Make sure that RSM can see from your transcripts how the grades were determined. If your school uses a different grading system or different calculations, this should be clearly indicated otherwise you run the risk that your grades will be interpreted incorrectly.

Are you in the final year of high school? RSM uses the grades of the penultimate year (year before your final year) for the evaluation. This allows us to evaluate each applicant based on a full year of grades.

South Africa: National Senior Certificate

General requirements

 
  • minimum 7 subjects (at least 70%) and must meet the minimum requirements for admission to a bachelor degree
  • Mathematics minimum grade of 70% AND IBA mathematics exam 
  • English minimum grade of 70% English (Home Language) OR English language test for First Additional Language exam.
  • Applicants who do not meet these requirements will be placed in the lower tiers of the ranking

  • Granted for a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 70% or higher

  • Applicants who do not meet the mathematics requirement may choose to take the IBA Mathematics exam 
  • English language test: English B SL/ English ab initio. Exemption for English A SL/HL and English B HL
  • Applicants who do not meet these requirements will be placed in the lower tiers of the ranking

-Predicted grades will not be considered for the evaluation.
-Only a full IB diploma is accepted; IB certificates are not accepted

  • minimum average grade 3.00/B+ (High School) AND minimum of 4 Advanced Placement (AP) exams with a minimum score of 4 
    Only AP exams administered by the College Board are accepted. A maximum of 1 language AP is accepted. No AP exams in the category 'Arts' are accepted. Also not accepted: AP studio Art; AP Capstone; AP Research; or AP Seminar)
  • Mathematics minimum grade of B+ for pre-calculus AND IBA mathematics exam (Exemption  for students who have taken the College Board exam AP Calculus AB or BC, minimum score of 4). SAT and ACT are not accepted. 
  • English minimum grade of B+ English language test (optional)
  • Applicants who do not meet these requirements will be placed in the lower tiers of the ranking
