World Economic Forum
The World Economic Forum is a prestigious non-profit organization, which primary goal is to improve the state of the world through Public-Private Cooperation. The Forum engages the foremost political, business and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas. One way to accomplish this is to produce a series of research reports focussed on competitiveness, global risk and scenario thinking. The Global Competitiveness Report is one of those reports and is widely recognised as the world’s leading cross-country comparison of factors affecting economic competitiveness and growth. The ranking and appraisal of this influential report extensively aids policy making, conducting business and academic research at a global scale.
ECBI is Partner Institute of the World Economic Forum for The Netherlands. ECBI is predominantly responsible for administering the Dutch annual Executive Opinion Survey, a major component of the Global Competitiveness Report. The survey engages a representative sample of national business leaders to convey their view on the nation's economic environment and its ability to achieve sustained growth. In addition, ECBI supports the World Economic Forum in disseminating the key findings of their reports to a wide range of stakeholders in the Netherlands.
