Smart Charging Living Lab

Smart Charging Living Lab

Electric mobility is the subject of intense research at the ECFEB. Extending current knowledge requires the joint forces of eLaad, Stedin, City of Rotterdam and Engie; they are all part of the Smart Charging Living Lab initiative, which is extending what we know about future energy business. Integrating electric vehicles and smart charging (EVs) effectively into the current power system means testing cars in the laboratory for their vehicle-to-grid performance. Researchers can find out how the vehicle ‘talks’ to its charger and how that affects the charging procedures – and security. Read more about the Smart Charging Living Lab initiative here.
