Negotiating for Women Programme Testimonial

Eva Spoor, EU Projects Coordinator at the Technical University, Delft attended the Negotiating for Women: the Key to Career Success programme. Prior to attending this programme Spoor found it challenging to maximise her negotiations outcome by being straight to the point yet remaining polite. Her aspiration for participating was to improve her assertiveness in professional surroundings and to understand what the impact is of how she is perceived during negotiations.

In today’s knowledge economy, negotiation among peers is at the heart of just about every successful endeavour. Any woman seeking to develop her career path and maintain her professional and personal interests needs to be familiar with negotiation tools and techniques that would allow her to leverage her knowledge and strength. This workshop is designed for women who want to learn how to negotiate from a position of knowledge and strength while keeping their social relationships intact.

Spoor experienced the programme as super interactive and very informative and confidence-building. She felt she gained an understanding of pitfalls for different negotiating styles. Her most valuable take aways from the programme were the techniques she learned during the day and then being able to role-play the new negotiation techniques learned during the class.

Spoor ads “I would definitely recommend the programme to women who want to learn more about strategies for negotiating and gender bias”. The next Negotiating for Women: the Key to Career Success programme will take place on 15 December 2017 in Rotterdam. Visit our website to learn more about our programmes.
