Top academics from RSM and industry-leading innovation professionals from DSM and ING will provide you with the latest hands-on insights in management and leadership techniques that are tailored to the best practices of driving innovation; these include change management, leadership, innovation management, and entrepreneurship. The programme has a general introduction that covers the essentials of driving systemic change and how organisational capability is affected by factors such as resources, processes and values. Then we dive deeper into each factor and its implications for you and your process of driving for excellence in sustainable innovation.
The Leading Innovation Excellence programme, The Essentials of Innovation Leadership programme, and The Essentials of Innovation for Governments programme are offered by the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship. Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship is fuelled by their belief that entrepreneurship is the primary driver for innovation an strive to embed entrepreneurship in the DNA of people.
The diploma programme consists of four modules, each of three days at Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship. You will take part in interactive masterclasses, workshops and peer-to-peer learning, supported by a mix of online materials, real business case studies, assignments and after-class discussions. Each module takes between 50 – 60 hours to complete (including the time you spend in classes).
Throughout the duration of the programme, you are encouraged to take on a personal Real-life Impact Project, which challenges you to directly apply your learnings and make real and relevant impact on your own organisation and role. For your Real-life Impact Project you will be supported by a dedicated academic and practitioner coach with knowledge and experience on your defined project.
Focusing on the fundamentals of the programme; how to drive systemic change and innovation, and what is needed for this from an integral perspective (resources, processes and values).
This module dives deep into the topic of ambidextrous human resources. What consequences does this have for your personal leadership and your relations with top management teams? Discover personality types and learning styles, and how these can help you to compose the most effective entrepreneurial teams.
What structures, processes and governance fit your organisation and can help it to excel in innovation? How can you manage your innovation portfolio and where can you source your innovations? Learn to set up open innovation processes and how to collaborate with start-ups. Discuss how innovation processes are evaluated and who is responsible. Review actions for improving excellence in your organisation’s innovation processes and governance.
Become an agile leader and learn how to facilitate transformational change and engage key stakeholders in the organisation. Become aware of the cultures and values of informal versus formal, and learn how to build and leverage communities and social networks.
The whole programme was like a journey. Maybe a little like the discovery voyage of Columbus who set out to find India; I set out to learn new insights and theoretical models and then ended up in a restructuring of my department, and derivations for my entire company that I can personally influence.
