Nominations are sought for people who have inspired others by being a force for positive change because they have made excellent contributions to society, business or the community of Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM). The annual RSM Distinguished Alumni Awards (DAA) are presented every year to outstanding alumni of the school. This year, the nominations – and awards – are divided into two categories. The closing date for nominations is 30 June, and the awards will be presented at the RSM Leadership Summit on 12 October.

Alumni Achievement Award

This acknowledges RSM alumni who are a force for positive change in business or society, either as a part of a corporate community, as an entrepreneur, or as an individual whose life mission is to improve the lives of others or to protect or improve the environment.

Alumni Volunteer Award

The Volunteer Award recognises RSM alumni volunteers who share their time or resources to contribute to the school’s reputation, research, education and student experience, or help promote alumni relations.

The whole RSM Community is invited to nominate an alumna or alumnus who has made an impact with their actions. All former students of all programmes – including those who studied on predecessors of the current portfolio of programmes (such as the doctorandus opleiding) and PhD programmes – are eligible for an award. RSM faculty and staff are particularly encouraged to nominate alumni they think deserve a DAA award.

The 2018 Awards reflect RSM’s mission: ‘to be a force for positive change in the world’, which uses the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a framework for teaching and research activities. The mission has gathered energy and enthusiasm from the RSM community since it was launched in 2017.

The closing date for nominations is 30 June 2018. For more information and to submit nominations, please see the Awards webpage.
