At RSM, we are pioneers in leadership development. We know that advancing as a leader is as much about practice as it is about theory. It’s as much about performance as principles. And accelerating your own leadership means putting new ideas, concepts and frameworks to the test in a real-world context – applying your learning and experimenting to unlock new understanding.

For these reasons we have designed the EMBA curriculum with an integrative and holistic approach we call Personal Leadership Development (PLD).

PLD is interwoven throughout your EMBA learning experience, informing everything you do and empowering you to build new skills, best practices and an advanced leadership mindset from the start.

We see leadership development through three critical lenses:

Leading knowledge

Throughout your EMBA you have access to RSM’s faculty and professional development coaches. Your learning is informed by the latest research and thinking on global leadership and personal development, and you will be challenged and encouraged to reflect deeply on the values, skills and attitudes that constitute agile and effective leadership – of yourself and of others.
Leading in action

At RSM, we believe in learning by doing and in leadership in action. As you progress through the programme, you will use custom assessment tools, deep reflection techniques and 360-degree feedback sessions with your team of fellow EMBA participants in order to understand your strengths and identify areas that you need to develop. You will translate theory into practice through experiential learning situations, such as in-class simulations, group work, mentoring and other exercises.
Leading support

We are here to support you as you grow personally and professionally. Everything that we do at RSM is built on a culture of openness and collaboration. That means that besides the curriculum and programmed events and projects, you will work one-to-one with professors, coaches and mentors to identify your goals and develop the roadmaps that will take you where you want to go.
