Dr Basil Mugonola
Dr Basil Mugonola graduated from Makerere University Uganda with a bachelor of Agriculture (2000) and Msc. Agricultural Economics (2004). He obtained a PhD (2013) in Bioscience Engineering from the catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. Basil works with Gulu University Uganda as senior lecturer and head of department of Rural Development and Agribusiness. He coordinates a number of projects and outreach initiatives that target smallholder farmers’ groups and producer organizations in Northern Uganda. He has extensively researched, published on smallholder production systems, supervised and examined students at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Basil is currently a research with the Partnership resource Center (PrC) work to develop theories of change on the IFDC, BOP and ICRA project: “Toward Sustainable Clusters in Agribusiness through Learning in Entrepreneurship (2SCALE)” in eastern and southern Africa.
