Paper by Bayerl and Akhgar shortlisted for the Lloyds Science of Risk Prize 2016

The paper 'Surveillance and Falsification Implications for Open Source Intelligence Investigations' written by Dr. Saskia Bayerl and Prof. Babak Akhgar and recently published in Communications of the ACM was shortlisted at this year’s Lloyd’s Science of Risk Prize. The prize is intended to improve the understanding of risk in the insurance industry and “is designed to challenge researchers and Lloyd’s insurers to stretch their thinking”.

The paper was one of five shortlisted entries in the category 'Big Data and Machine Learning'. Shortlisted and winning papers were presented at Lloyd's Science of Risk Prize Conference in London on November 25th, 2015.
