CESAM-led international security project kicks off in Rotterdam
Tasks, objectives and strategies were discussed to ensure the realisation of the “International Security Management Knowledge Alliance” (ISM-KA) objectives at a kick-off meeting at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) in January 2017. The three-year EU-funded project is led by RSM’s Centre of Excellence in Public Safety Management (CESAM).
ISM-KA is a European project funded within the EU’s Erasmus+ Programme, which aims at addressing the current global issues by creating sustainable and concrete resources and structures to foster international security collaborations. The ISM-KA project will also establish an international learning, teaching and knowledge-sharing environment for the development and professionalisation of leadership, innovation and operational proficiency in the field of international safety and security.
The main objectives of the project are the delivery of a Horizon Scanning Tool for security threats and developments, a Security Multilogue Platform built around a brand-new executive master degree programme at RSM for public and private security experts, and a number of MOOCs on selected topics for outreach to the wider public.
