Values-based leadership
Daan van Knippenberg, Professor of organisational behaviour, RSM

Core to effective leadership is the ability to inspire people to work together to achieve organisational objectives. Prof. Daan van Knippenberg argues that this is most successfully achieved through values-based leadership – leadership that builds a shared sense of values-based purpose. He will also outline how – for such a focus on values-based purpose to be truly effective – this focus needs to be complemented with efforts to share the leadership. This way, you can develop people’s ability to be proactive and self-managing in pursuit of the shared purpose.
