Dimitri de Vreeze brings 25 years of expertise in materials sciences innovation to the RSM Sustainability Forum 2015. He has been part of Dutch innovation leader DSM since 1990, when he joined the Finance department of DSM Fine Chemicals. Over the past 25 years his international career at DSM has included such roles as Global Business Manager (Italy); Business Director Composite Resins Europe (Switzerland); BU Director Coatings Resins (2005-2007) and BU Director for the innovative NeoResins unit from 2007 – 2010, culminating in his Directorship of DSM Resins Business Group. Since October 2014 Mr. De Vreeze has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board of DSM Netherlands. He also holds Board positions with the Dutch Olympic Committee Fund for Top Sport NOC*NSF, and the ElectronicCommerce Platform Netherands (ECPN).
Dimitri de Vreeze (1967; Dutch) studied Business Economics at the University of Groningen and is Postgraduate of the Chartered Controllers Programme Maastricht.

Henk Volberda is Professor of Strategic Management and Business Policy at the Department of Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship. In addition to his professorial role, Henk is the Director of the Erasmus Strategic Renewal Program and Program Director of ERIM. He has worked as a consultant for many large European corporations. He is a member of the editorial boards of Long Range Planning, the Journal of International Business Studies, the Global Journal of Flexible Systems Management, Management Executive, and Maanblad voor Accountancy en Bedrijfseconomie (MAB). He is a member of the editorial review boards of the Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Strategy and Management, Organization Science and Organization Studies.
His latest book, Strategic Management: Competitiveness and Globalization and was published in April 2011 and is used as Strategy textbook in many European top business schools. Also in 2011 Henk co-wrote Innovatie 3.0: Slimmer managen, organiseren en werken, which is in its second edition.
Opening: Prof. dr. Steef van de Velde, Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University
Steef van de Velde is a Professor of Operations Management and Technology and the Dean of Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM). His research interests lie in the areas of operations excellence, service operations, and (behavioural) supply chain management. He has published in the leading academic journals including, among others, Management Science, California Management Review, Operations Research, Mathematical Programming, INFORMS Journal on Computing, IIE Transactions, and Journal of Scheduling.
Professor van de Velde holds an MSc in econometrics from the Erasmus School of Economics and a PhD in mathematics and computer science from the Eindhoven University of Technology. He has served as Dean for RSM since September 2011.
