Clean water and sanitation
By 2030, demand for drinkable water will outstrip supply by 40 per cent. Already, two-thirds of the population struggles to get clean water. Manufacturing and society consume enormous amounts of water, but ensuring access to clean water for everyone is one of the greatest challenges of our time.
RSM 2018 graduate and now key account manager Isaac Gassol explains why everyone should have safe and affordable access to drinkable water, and why businesses should become more water efficient.
Prof. Dirk Schoenmaker is professor in RSM’s Department of Finance. He speaks regularly at academic and professional conferences, and his research and teaching focus on sustainable finance, central banking and financial stability.
Frank Roeters van Lennep is chief investment officer for private markets with PGGM Business. Here, he discusses the challenges of making global investments achieve responsible long-term returns. His perspective? This is from the viewpoint of an asset management company with billions in assets to look after.
RSM intends to incorporate these videos, complemented with assignments and teaching cases, as learning modules into its programmes.
