Can I apply without having obtained my diploma before the application deadline?

Yes, you can apply for admission before your bachelor programme has been completed. Students who meet the admission requirements and/or selection criteria for their programme will be given a conditional offer of admission. One of the conditions in your offer of admission will be the completion of your bachelor programme. You must hand in your bachelor diploma, or an official statement from your university proving that you have completed all requirements for graduation before the 31st of August otherwise your offer of admission will be revoked and you will not be able to start the programme.

Some universities do not issue diplomas until after the 1st of September. If this applies to your university, please ask for an official statement that proves you have completed all requirements needed for graduation. This document must be given to the RSM admissions office by the 31st of August.

Can I apply without the GMAT score?

All applicants, with the exception of students with a bachelor degree from a research university (WO) issued by a University in the Netherlands with a GPA of 7.0 or higher must submit a GMAT score before the application deadline; January 31st for the IM/CEMS programme, March 31st for the Finance & Investment - Advanced programme and May 15th for all other programmes, provided that the programmes have not reached capacity before the deadline. Students with a bachelor degree from a Dutch research university who do not meet the GPA requirement must also submit a GMAT score. The GMAT exemption does not apply to the Master in Management or the Pre-master programmes.

The minimum required GMAT score is 600 (for Finance & Investments Advanced 650).

You may submit your application without a GMAT score, however RSM must have the score no later than the application deadline that applies to the master programme you have applied for. For programmes with a limited capacity (i.e. Finance & Investments and Master in Management) you need to have submitted the GMAT score before the application deadline or before the programme reaches capacity (whichever occurs first).

Can I submit my language proof after the deadline?

You must meet the CEMS language and third language requirement by the 31 January application deadline. If you do not meet this requirement by the application deadline then you do not meet the initial admissions requirements and cannot be invited to participate in the 2nd selection round.

Can RSM verify my TOEFL, IELTS or Cambridge results online?

Yes, RSM can check your TOEFL, IELTS or Cambridge results online. However, the RSM Admissions Office can only do this if you provide us with your score report during the application process, including the following information:

TOEFL: The institutional code of RSM is 0798 and for Erasmus University 7199 (you can use either). If you have not requested for the score report to be sent to RSM, we can still verify the score directly with TOEFL. Note that the scores can only be verified 2 years from the test date. If your test is older than this, please contact us.

IELTS: In order to verify your IELTS score, RSM needs the code which is written on the bottom right corner of your test report. Always upload your full score report during the application process.

Cambridge: In order for RSM to verify your Cambridge score, you need to add your Cambridge candidate ID number and secret number to your application with your score report. If you do not have the candidate ID and secret number, you must contact the authorized examination centre where the examination was originally taken.

Do I have to pay an application fee?

All applicants who have earned their diploma outside of the European Economic Area, have to pay an application fee of €100. The Online Application Form will automatically determine whether you are required to pay the fee or not. This application fee can be paid online using the Erasmus Payment System. This system offers applicants the possibility to pay using either iDEAL (for those with a Dutch bank account) or PayPal (which can be linked to any bank account or credit card worldwide). It is important that applicants complete the payment process as indicated, otherwise the system cannot register the payment. The application fee is non-refundable. Applications without successful payment of the application fee cannot be submitted and will therefore not be processed.
