Curriculum
Content and Structure
The four- to five-year programme has eight modules, each of three or four consecutive days based in Rotterdam. They cover a broad range of theoretical foundations and practical skills. All modules are taught in English. Your PhD thesis will also be written in English, according to international academic standards.
Programme Schedule
- Year one: four residential modules cover research methods, skills and foundations, and writing your research proposal
- Year two: a residential module covering field-specific specialisations, master classes, and a ‘back to campus’ module for PhD candidates to present their work.
- Years three and four: a ‘back to campus’ module
- Year five: ongoing writing of the dissertation
