German Ambassador to the Netherlands, Dr Heinz-Peter Behr has been added to the schedule of high-profile speakers at The Future Energy Business Forum in Rotterdam on Friday, 15 June. The international forum, hosted by Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) and the first of its kind, will explore changes taking place in the energy industry and will address meeting tomorrow’s demands for power supplies.
Dr Behr’s presentation; ‘Insights into the new German Energy Policy’ has been added to the series of presentations and panel debates in Rotterdam’s floating Drijvend Paviljoen in the central harbour district. The event brings together leading policy makers, decision makers in business, and academics to integrate viewpoints and expertise, network and share knowledge. Discussions will include robust, intelligent, efficient, and sustainable energy networks for the future and will lay the foundations for future Energy Forum events.
“Research and academia have an important role. Key topics include prospects and policies for sustainability, innovations in technology for power generation and storage, the role for consumers and the search for investment capital,” said Dr Wolf Ketter, leader of the Erasmus Centre for Future Energy Business.
Presentations, panel sessions and debates include the benchmarking of energy market strategies through competitive simulation, and research overviews from international and cross-European projects involving academic researchers, industrialists and entrepreneurs in seven countries. Attendees will hear first-hand the results of research that could drive change in the industry and will be of importance to technology companies, finance companies and bankers working within this sector. Presentations and interviews with leading technology companies will explore developments in power supply and storage, renewable energies, and trends.
