Roos de Wit-Goedhart

Study | Year of graduation: Executive MBA, 2009

Employment: Study Tours

Job title: CEO

What are the most valuable skills that you took from your education at RSM?
"I learned a lot of hard skills, which are crucial for running my business, but most valuable to me are the skills I practiced during the Personal Leadership Development (PLD) course. Strategic Life Planning and Goal Setting, communicating across cultures and giving and receiving feedback all helped me to where I am today."

What was the most memorable moment at RSM?
"The whole MBA was one big experience with many highlights. The most memorable though were the study tours to Hyderabad in India and Tokyo and Nagoya in Japan. It was amazing to see how much we learned in one week, and of course we danced the night away!"

How would your former classmates describe you?
"At the time I was extremely busy. I worked full time at RSM, got married in my first year, renovated my house, had my first child in the second year and was pregnant again at graduation. One of my dear team members wrote that I am a strong believer and practitioner in business ethics and integrity, which I took as the biggest compliment."

Name three things that make you smile each day!
"Two years after graduation I started my own business, Study Tours. Doing what I love, what I’m good at and what gives me energy makes me smile all day.
Furthermore the smiles, little talks and hugs of our three children, Michiel (1), Emeline (2) and Anne Marij (3), are priceless!
Last but not least, Rob and I are very fortunate to live in a green environment. Having our families and friends over for a BBQ is always good for a couple of smiles!"

What is your greatest passion in life?
"Educating others by bringing together different stakeholders worldwide;  MNOs, NGOs, ministries, universities and business schools. I also love mentoring MBA and MSc students. I would highly recommend the mentoring programme to everyone who has been in their shoes and would like to give back to RSM!"

What is your I WILL statement?
"I WILL deliver outstanding study tours."
