“Finance” deals with two key elements of business administration: Corporate Finance and Investments. The field of Corporate Finance studies investment and financing decisions within the firm. Investments concentrates on the mechanics of financial markets and investments in e.g. stocks, bonds, and derivatives.
The RSM Finance Group actively contributes to the field with research on initial public offerings, theory and practice of corporate finance, the predictability of stocks returns, the risk and return of real estate investments, and risk management. In recent years, our research has resulted in publications in leading academic journals, such as American Economic Review, Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of International Money and Finance, Review of Financial Studies, and Financial Management.
