First Sustainability Summer School fully booked
CSR Academy, a Dutch consultancy firm specialised in Corporate Social Responsibility, in collaboration with Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University and its Partnerships Resource Centre) organises for the first time the Sustainability Summer School. The programme consists of five different workshops about sustainability, based on the five managerial mindsets of management expert Henry Mintzberg: the Reflective mindset, the Analytic mindset, the Worldly mindset, the Collaborative mindset and the Action mindset and is fully booked.
These mindsets are crucial perspectives for professionals to analyse organisational issues – consequently professionals in sustainability should be able to apply these perspectives as well. The Collaborative mindset will be the framework for the first workshop: ‘Sustainability as a partnership-issue’ by
Rob van Tulder (Full Professor of International Business-Society Management at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University and Academic Director of The Partnership Resource Center). The other workshops will discuss topics as CSR 2.0, implementation of CSR, ISO 26000 and fair trade.
The lecture at RSM is the first of five in the lecture cycle around Mintzberg’s classification of managerial mindsets. Other locations where lectures will be held are: Culemborg, Amsterdam and Breukelen.
The participants of the Sustainability Summer School have diverse backgrounds; from a trainee working at a municipality to a CSR coordinator at a multinational, from an owner of a SME to a consultant working at a NGO. Nevertheless, all participants have to deal with sustainability in their daily work. It will be an inspiring summer!
