Bol.com plans to take the most popular shopping day in the world to the Netherlands: Singles Day. With this, the store will introduce an extra Dutch holiday on 11 November. In Asia, Singles Day is the biggest shopping phenomenon. Retail expert Cor Molenaar of RSM comments: "Singles Day is a shopping event in Asia that consumers look forward to every year. The success lies in the very strong price discounts on articles that many consumers really want."
