Buhui Qiu is an assistant professor of finance at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. He obtained his PhD in finance from the University of Cincinnati (Ohio, USA) in July 2009. His research interest is in the areas of corporate governance, corporate information disclosure and fraud, institutional ownership, and mergers and acquisitions. His research work has been presented at various international finance and accounting conferences such as the Singapore International Conference on Finance (SICF), WFA, AAA (FARS), CRSP forum, China International Conference in Finance (CICF) and FMA, and at various universities. He is currently teaching Mergers and Acquisitions (undergraduate), M&A and Corporate Restructuring (master) and Corporate Finance (master and doctoral) courses at RSM. Before pursuing an academic life, Buhui had worked for several years as a financial analyst and (advanced) financial consultant at Ford, PwC Consulting and IBM.
