The chance of loss increases if the high stock prices suddenly fall. Mathijs van Dijk, professor of Finance at RSM states: “Investing is recommended because the return on the long term usually really turns out longer then put money in a savings account. Only, then you have to invest for the longer term, with money that you can afford to lose and with risk diversification.” Personally, the professor would not step in now. “The prices are very high right now.”
