From airbag to air paq: When Michael Widmann and Adrian Goossens were given the task of considering a recycling project at the Rotterdam School of Management, they had no idea that this would become a promising business idea. Looking for inspiration on a nearby junkyard, they found old airbags and were fascinated by the feel and quality of the material. Ideal starting point for backpacks, both found - the idea for "Airpaq" was born.

In addition to the very material reward of the work, there have also recently been two ideal awards, both of which are all about sustainable ideas and products and give the young company a lot of impetus. On the one hand, "Airpaq" won the German Sustainability Award in the category "Design 2022", on the other hand, the "Vegan Fashion Award" of the animal welfare organization Peta.
