This article reports on the outcome of the doctoral research by Pieter-Jan Bezemer (current PhD student) "Diffusion of Corporate Governance Beliefs". His conclusion is that too much focus on the shareholders has a negative influence on the financial performances of top-100 entrepreneurships that are quoted on the stock exchange.
