Profile

Filippos is a post-doc researcher at the Rotterdam School of Management (EUR) affiliated also with the Integral Design & Management department of Delft University of Technology (TUD), and he is a member of the academic community of the Erasmus Initiative Dynamics of Inclusive Prosperity (DoIP).

Currently, he works in a multi-disciplinary team of scientists from six consortium partners who collaborate within the four-year Sino-Dutch research project Inclusive Wise Waste Cities (IWWCs) which is one of the projects of DoIP.

Together with his colleagues in IWWCs and DoIP, he is co-developing the theme "inclusive circular economy" in the context of urban waste management by exploring the interlinkages between the concepts of circular economy, social inclusion/exclusion, and urban regeneration. Filippos is particularly interested in exploring both possibilities for theoretical innovation as well as for practical application of methodological tools from regenerative economics to understand how to develop rather than grow complex socio-economic systems at multiple levels (e.g., business, city, or country level) in ways which drive inclusive prosperity while respecting planetary boundaries.
