Best Young Professional 2017 to boost leadership skills at RSM

Nestlé trainee Claire Davidson was named the Best Young Professional 2017 in a Dutch competition for young professionals with an academic degrees in any discipline. The 28-year-old talent won a two-day executive education programme at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) to further develop her leadership knowledge and skills.

Claire Davidson, a commercial trainee in Nestlé Netherlands’ Young Talent Programme, is ranked first in the list of top 100 Best Young Professionals 2017, as announced by former AkzoNobel CEO Kees van Lede at a celebratory dinner in Rotterdam’s Euromast on Thursday 13 July 2017. Van Lede said he he was impressed by the performance, motivation and ambition of Davidson and her fellow finalists.

Management programme

In the top 10 of this young professionals ranking were also Damy Colon (Menzis), Bob Stigter (Nestlé Nederland), Nick Driessen (Heineken), Mandy Brouwer (ING), Bart Dix (Redfaire International), Pieter-Bas van der Linden (Randstad Groep Nederland), Supraja Ramachandran (DSM), and RSM alumni Emma Verhagen (BSc IBA 2011 and MSc in Business Information Management 2012) from Unilever and Johan Berends (MSc International Management/CEMS 2014) from Shell.

In addition to the award, Davidson won a two-day open management programme of her choice at RSM. RSM Executive Education offers short and longer programmes to improve business skills at all stages of professionals’ careers. Courses cover various topics, including marketing, finance, change management, supply chain, general management, and innovation. Professionals learn practical tools and the latest academic insights that they can put into action immediately, and network with peers from various industries.

Best Young Professionals top 100

Best Young Professionals Top 100 is an initiative by Memory Group, which connects talented professionals to employers through publications and events. Participants in the competition complete a comprehensive survey about their achievements during their studies, current position and career development. The 15 best-scoring young professionals are judged by Kees van Lede, former CEO of AkzoNobel.
