How to deal with corporate communication and reputation management

Communication professionals can explore reputation management, corporate identity and other communication topics in the four-day Foundations of Corporate Communication course by Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) in Noord-Brabant, the Netherlands. The training, which is led by Prof. Cees van Riel, will take place 22-25 January 2018.



Communication professionals in the business world have a broadening scope of responsibilities and an increasing mandate to act as high-level strategic advisers to CEOs, and they frequently serve as members of the senior leadership team.

Stakeholder and reputation management

This four-day course offers the opportunity for them to deepen their academic and practical knowledge in the corporate communication field to boost their careers. Participants will explore organisational identity, corporate branding, stakeholder management, reputation management, strategic communication, and employee communication.

The training is specifically targeted at junior to senior communication professionals, senior managers and business consultants to master the skills needed to communicate effectively with the media, investor relations, and external and international stakeholders. It is led by RSM’s Professor Cees van Riel, professor of corporate communication. Prof. Van Riel is a leading academic in the field of corporate communication and reputation management.

Theory and practice

The balanced mix of academic speakers and business practitioners will provide expertise from theory and experience from practice. And there are ample opportunities to network with peers from the business world.

The foundation course is the start of the part-time Executive MSc in Corporate Communication programme, and can be taken as a stand-alone course. It will take place at four-star Golden Tulip Jagershorst Hotel in Leende, the Netherlands from 22-25 January 2018. The accommodation is included in the course fee.
