Students explore in-company opportunities at Bachelor Internship Fair
Almost 350 bachelor students attended the Bachelor Internship Fair at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) on 18 April 2018. Companies presented internship opportunities, students received feedback on their CVs, and graduates shared their internship experiences from their final study year.
Third-year bachelor students can choose to do a minor, an exchange programme or an internship in this final year of their programme. More than 200 bachelor students did an internship during their seventh trimester in 2017.
Bachelor students from RSM’s English-taught BSc International Business Administration and Dutch-taught BSc Business Administation/Bedrijfskunde explored their internship opportunities at companies for the final year of their programme. Companies such as WarChild, Kurtz Marketing & Management, L’Oréal, Randstad, Prospectory, Zalando and Deloitte presented their internship opportunities. Companies also posted their vacancies on the RSM Job Board.
CV checks and internship ambassadors
In addition to employer branding, several career coaches from the RSM Career Centre checked CVs at the fair to help students on the way. “It’s always exciting to do a CV check. To do an internship, students need a top-notch CV. We checked around 70 CVs during the fair,” says RSM Career Coach Vildana Gačić.
There were also eight internship ambassadors. These bachelor students shared their internship experiences from 2017, and other students could ask them questions too.
“I really enjoyed sharing my internship experience with current students,” says Andrey Alikberov, who graduated from the BSc International Business Administration in 2017, and completed his internship at PwC Russia. Alikberov, who now works as an associate at PwC Europe, added that he was impressed with the wide array of companies attending the fair.
“Having chosen to do an internship myself, I encourage students to do the same. Attending this Bachelor Internship Fair will increase their chances to obtain an internship successfully.”
