Alumna wins pitch prize for baby-sitting exchange start-up in Paris
Alumna Cécile Duriez, who is owner and founder of www.kidwi.com, received the Best Pitch Award from the public after presenting her parents’ baby-sitting exchange platform to an audience of fellow entrepreneurs and investors recently. Cécile is an alumna from the Class of 2014 of the Global Executive OneMBA programme at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM).
Cécile has been developing her sole start-up business at the Paris Chamber of Commerce incubator hub Incuba'School in France since May 2018, and the Kidwi website has been live since June.
Investors to develop community
The pitch competition for the Prix du Meilleur Pitch 2018 (Best Pitch Award 2018) took place at Incuba'School during the "Demo Day" in July 2018. It gathered all Incuba'School projects from its various programmes of which several were presented in front of partners, investors and the general public.
“I was contacted by investors following the pitch,” Cécile says. “Sharing is a major trend right now and the concept of Kidwi struck a cord as parents represent a sought-after community.” She hopes parents will register in the platform so the community can thrive.
Incuba'School offers support to develop start-up projects by providing an enticing environment and offering classes such as organisation modelling, testing, digital business, and customer focus. Classes take place every week and all participants work on their projects in parallel.
