Henk de Vries re-elected as EURAS President

Henk de Vries, Associate Professor of Standardisation at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM), has been re-elected as President of the European Academy for Standardisation (EURAS) for the next four years.

Henk de Vries has authored and co-authored around 300 scientific and professional publications about standardisation, including teaching materials and the world’s largest set of papers and reports about standardisation education. In 2009, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) recognised the standardisation education activities at RSM with the ISO Award for Higher Education in Standardization.

EURAS is the only international academic society on standardisation in the world and aims to stimulate scientific research and academic education about standardisation. . Its activities focus on promoting standardisation research and its critical evaluation in the interest of scientific education, improving opportunities to publish research results, and supporting the development and professionalisation of standardisation education. EURAS offers a platform for exchanging information, collaboration and dissemination by organising annual EURAS conferences and publishing the conference proceedings and other publications. See
