RSM celebrates its largest MSc graduation ceremony ever
Proud family members and friends of MSc graduates from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) gathered for their graduation ceremony at De Doelen in Rotterdam in October 2014. It was the first time that RSM organised a combined graduation for graduates from its 12 full-time MSc programmes.
Out of the 1698 graduates from 12 of RSM’s MSc programmes, 523 gathered to celebrate the completion of their studies and their new status as RSM alumni. The event took place at concert venue and convention centre De Doelen in Rotterdam on Saturday 4 October 2014.
Graduands entered the packed 1,900-capacity theater proudly and energetically to up-tempo music and the encouraging applause of the public. They were about to graduate from RSM’s MSc programmes in Accounting and Financial Management, Business Information Management, Chinese Economy and Business, Entrepreneurship & New Business Venturing, Finance & Investments, Global Business and Stakeholder Management, Human Resource Management, Management of Innovation, Marketing Management, Organisational Change and Consulting, Strategic Management and Supply Chain Management.
The keynote speaker at the ceremony was Tex Gunning, CEO of TNT Express. Guido Rahmann, graduate of the MSc in Marketing Management, spoke to the audience on behalf of the graduates. Professor Eric Waarts, Dean of Degree programmes at RSM, granted a diploma and congratulatory handshake to each of the 523 graduates who were present at the ceremony. The event concluded with a festive cocktail reception in De Doelen’s grand foyer.
