Chair of the supervisory board of Spar
Caroline has broad experience in leadership, (investment) banking & finance, M&A, strategy consulting and entrepreneurship. Currently she serves on various supervisory and advisory boards: Caroline is chair of the supervisory board of SPAR Holding Netherlands, chair of the audit committee of AutoBinck Group, chair of the supervisory board of Westland Kaas, supervisory board member of EUR Holding and deputy-chair of the advisory board of the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM). Previously, Caroline was also non-executive board member of Cultuur+Ondernemen en Fonds Cultuur+Financiering.
From 2017-2021, Caroline was a member of the Executive Committee of NIBC Bank. She was responsible for growth and leveraged finance, structured finance, mezzanine & equity, credit management, tech and corporate finance in NIBC’s core markets The Netherlands, Germany and the UK. NIBC was listed in 2018 and acquired by Blackstone in 2020.
Caroline started her career at ABN AMRO in M&A. Later she worked in strategy consulting (OC&C Strategy Consultants) and as entrepreneur, building the finance division of the Nederlandse Interim Group, which was later sold to DPA Group. In 2013 she joined NIBC as head of M&A.
Caroline holds an MSc in Business Economics from Erasmus University (EUR).
