Job description

The Curriculum Manager for online master's programmes is responsible for overseeing curriculum, content, quality assurance, and continuous improvement with a focus on digital delivery. This role ensures high-quality, engaging content, collaborating with faculty and the academic director to develop future programme content, enhance design, and suggest innovations. The manager also evaluates tools like the LMS to optimise delivery and standardise processes.

The Curriculum Manager oversees programme administration, coordinates execution, and develops efficient work processes to ensure smooth operation while maintaining a focus on quality assurance throughout the programme lifecycle. We are searching for a skilled and motivated self-starter for this role.

You will be part of our Online Masters team that prepares the launch for two new Online Master programmes. This position reports to the Associate Director of the Online Master programmes and focuses on coordinating the content creation process rather than creating the content itself.

Your daily activities and responsibilities include:

  • Effectively managing the programme operations and the delivery of the educational programmes.
  • Planning, organising and executing the logistics and administration of the programmes to the highest professional service standard
  • Supporting the preparation of the academic year and scheduling the programme
  • Collecting and providing information and updates about the department’s curricula, courses, electives, instructors, credits, and student eligibility criteria
  • Ensuring the timely delivery of complete and accurate course outlines
  • Organising alignment and best-practice sharing between the programme’ s instructors
  • Ensuring that all Canvas pages are of good quality and accessible for students on time
  • Supporting the creating and documentation of the programme assessment plan
  • Ensuring that assessment policies and guidelines are observed.
  • Supporting with academic quality assurance; implementing short term and long-term QA loops
  • Maintaining an overview of the quality of the courses, the programme
  • Exchanging best practices with education coordinators of other departments and contribute to the community 
  • Working to align the educational vision of the programmes
  • Ensuring consistency within and across courses, focusing on coherence and alignment with programme goal

Job requirements

  • At least three years of working experience with coordination of (educational) programmes
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
  • Proficient in Microsoft office 365, knowledge of Canvas or other similar learning platform desirable
  • Ability to take initiative and programme ownership
  • Ability to work independently and in a team (team player)
  • Organisational talent - efficient, accurate and ‘on top of things’
  • Flexibility and willingness to work outside of standard business hours
  • Focused on quality awareness
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Ability to think critically to make timely decision

Preferably you also have

  • The ability to collaborate with others on a common goal
  • Experience with Online Masters/education and a true believer of this vision of next step higher education
