Introduction
Due to a temporary gap in our HR team, we are looking for an HR Advisor to strengthen the team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will work closely with other members of the HR team, including an HR Advisor and an HR Officer. Together, you will cover both HR advisory work and a number of ongoing HR projects, ensuring continuity, quality and progress across the HR agenda.
This is a broad, hands-on role for an HR professional who enjoys responsibility, collaboration and contributing to meaningful people initiatives in a dynamic, international environment.
Job description
You will support managers and employees across the organisation on a broad range of HR topics. In addition, you will contribute to HR projects and may take the lead on specific initiatives, depending on priorities.
Your daily activities and responsibilities include:
- Managing and contributing to the re-weighting and review of job scales and salary structures, including analysis, preparation and implementation (project for 2026).
- Assist in the development and rollout of key cultural transformation projects.
- Assisting with HR processes across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
- Handling HR casework, including sickness absence and reintegration processes in line with the Wet verbetering poortwachter.
- Contributing to and supporting the Performance & Development cycle, including preparation, coordination and follow-up activities.
- Supporting Health & Wellbeing initiatives in collaboration with external providers.
- Contributing to improvements in HR processes, policies and internal HR documentation.
- Supporting HR system-related work, including effective use of performance and goal-setting tools.
Job requirements
In order to be successful in this role, you:
- Have solid knowledge of HR, gained through relevant education and work experience.
- Have 3+ years’ experience in a broad HR Advisor role (salary re-weighting experience is a big plus)
- Are familiar with Dutch labour law and HR processes
- Communicate clearly and professionally in English & Dutch
- Are comfortable working independently while collaborating within a small HR team.
- Are pragmatic, reliable and able to contribute effectively during a temporary period.
- Handle confidential information with care and professionalism.
Preferablt you also have:
- Experience in an international or academic environment.
- Experience working with HR systems (such as NMBRS, CultureAmp) and HR projects alongside advisory work
This role is well suited to an HR professional who enjoys contributing, taking responsibility and leading initiatives when appropriate, without seeking a permanent leadership position.
