Introduction

We are looking for a dedicated Sales Manager to join our Executive Education team at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM). If you excel in consultative selling, building client relationships, process optimisation, and customer satisfaction, we would love to hear from you.  We are particularly interested in candidates who are comfortable engaging with senior professionals and who combine commercial acumen with a genuine interest in leadership development and learning. Please note: we are looking for a Dutch speaking candidate. 

Job description

As Sales Manager (Executive Education), you will operate at the intersection of sales, advisory, and relationship management and guide experienced professionals towards executive learning solutions that deliver real organisational impact. 

What makes this role different? You act as a trusted advisor, engaging in meaningful dialogue with clients, diagnosing development needs, and matching them with high-quality executive education programs. You will also have the opportunity to experience our executive education programmes firsthand, strengthening your ability to advise clients effectively. 

Your daily activities and responsibilities include:   

  • Playing a key role in achieving enrolment targets by managing lead qualification and conversion.  

  • Leading client conversations and guiding prospective participants through the full sales process.  

  • Advising clients on their development needs and recommending suitable executive education solutions.  

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to senior professionals and C-level executives through consultative sales conversations.  

  • Driving conversion by optimising the customer journey and removing barriers to registration.  

  • Developing and implementing initiatives to increase enrolment and grow the executive programmes portfolio.  

  • Ensuring effective use of CRM data to optimise outreach and sales performance.  

  • Collaborating with marketing and programme teams to enhance customer experience and strengthen the sales funnel. 

Job requirements

To be successful in this position, you will need to have the following knowledge, expertise or skills. 

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 

  • At least  10 years of experience in a sales or client-facing role, preferably within an educational or professional services environment. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English. 

  • Strong organisational and time management skills with an eye for detail. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems. 

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 

  • A results-driven mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction and process efficiency.
