#1 Talk - Supply Chain Resilience: What Businesses can Learn from Humanitarian Logistics
Imagine you would be asked to organize the next Olympic games, but without knowing the location, the date, and how many people will attend. This sounds impossible, right? Yet this is the reality humanitarian organizations face. They know disasters will occur, but not where, when, and how many lives will be affected. Despite this uncertainty, their supply chain needs to be ready. Over decades, humanitarian organizations built deep expertise in preparing for and managing low-probability, high-impact events, and “building things back better”. In this session, we will explore what businesses can learn from these organizations to strengthen the resilience of their own supply chains.
