Innovative consulting is hot topic at Master Fair

Companies and business students connected at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) to explore internship and job opportunities at the RSM Master Fair on 14 May 2019. The master students are from RSM’s 14 master programmes, and will conclude their studies in the summer of 2019, after which they will be ready to put their business knowledge into practice.

At the afternoon fair, several of the around 20 companies made a 15-minute presentation to show their company’s mission and what kind of opportunities they can offer to the students.

Employee brand awareness

“This was a great opportunity to talk to high potentials from RSM. Together with the Innovation Truck, it was perfect to increase brand awareness on campus and to get in touch with interested students,” said Nils Kowitz, business analyst at BearingPoint.

Students were also able to experience innovative consulting at BearingPoint’s BE Innovation Truck, a showcase room with selected innovative products and services. Students from all programmes and faculties explored industry transformation at the innovation truck, which was on campus all day.

Potential new business colleagues

The other participating companies were Abbott, ASML, DHL Consulting, EY, NIBC, Nutanix, Peterson and Control Union, Philips, PwC, Reckitt Benckiser, Rijk Zwaan, Sana Commerce, SC Johnson, Schlumberger, TATA Consultancy Services, Turner, TOPdesk and Young Capital.

“We really appreciate that RSM organises this, because it’s always a pleasure to talk to graduates and potential new colleagues,” said Debbie Ploeg from Peterson and Control Union’s global graduate programme.

An open market

Around 250 master students attended the Master Fair on campus. They said it was “very useful to gain insight and information on how a day will look like when working within different companies,” and that it was “a great chance to meet a wide range of employers at this open market for different types of jobs.”

Students could also have their CVs checked by members of the RSM Career Centre team.

Companies can reserve a spot at next year’s Master Fair at RSM via careercentre@rsm.nl.
