The I DO Project is a fully recognised and 15 EC accredited course taking place in the 2nd year of the (I)BA Bachelor Program. The 15 EC will count towards the participants study progress and required 60 EC in the third year of the Bachelor. As a course, the project is split into two separate phases, the preparation and action phase. The preparation phase extends from September until the end of December 2021 and incorporates the theoretical preparation for students to kickstart the action period. During the action period from January 2022 - June participants put their knowledge, skills and conclusions from the analysis into practice and work directly with globally active NGOs.
Both periods are aligned with the course’s conceptual framework that holistically equips students with the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve a positive impact alongside the collaborative NGOs. However, the majority of the framework is covered in the preparation phase. The framework predetermines a structure that guides the sequence of all academic events, predominantly workshops. All workshops, impact- and team sessions have mandatory attendance to ensure equal preparation for all members of consulting teams, which supports a standardized assessment approach.
