Re-sit examinations for the IBA B1 and B2 take place after each block and the B3 re-sit examinations are held in June and July. Please find the schedule of all the re-sit examinations on the current students webpage.
Students have a free choice in the number of times that they wish to take a written examination. With effect from 1 September 2018, the result for a test is established on the highest test result obtained. If the material to be studied for an examination has changed, the new material must be studied.
Note: keep in mind that to obtain a cum laude judicium no more than two examinations have been taken more than once and to obtain a summa cum laude no examination has been taken more than once.
Registration for re-sit examinations is possible via Osiris Student during the registration period: starting 26 days before the exam and expiring five working days before the exam.
This document explains how to register for a re-sit.
After registering via Osiris Student, you will receive an e-mail confirmation of your registration. Make sure you save this e-mail until the results of the re-sit examinations are announced in Osiris.
During the registration period, it is also possible for you to deregister for a re-sit examination for which you have registered. In this way, you can avoid the remark ‘did not show up’ being entered on your Osiris overview. It could also enable another student to use the reserved seat and table.
If you are too late registering for the re-sit, you will have to retake the course in the next academic year.
Elective students: if you are an elective student, you are not able to register for a re-sit in Osiris yourself. Please send an e-mail to Programme Management (email@example.com) if you would like to take a re-sit. Make sure you mention your student number. The deadline for registration via PM is 5 working days before the exam.
