Launched in 2025, the Energy Transition Case Series is a collection of multidisciplinary teaching cases on topics related to the energy transition. Each case addresses important learning areas in energy transition, as well as the typical and complex challenges faced by public and private institutions in creating a carbon-neutral and digitalized future.
The goal is to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to tackle the energy transition, including:
"Our mission at ECET is to ensure that all Erasmus students understand why the energy transition is so crucial, why it is so complex, and to help the students explore the challenging and impactful roles they could play in accelerating this transition throughout their future careers."
Change starts with awareness. Although many people have a general understanding of what the energy transition entails, we notice that many of our students do not yet fully grasp how truly challenging it is. To accelerate the transition, increasing energy transition literacy is essential and these cases are an excellent tool to achieve that.
