Women who are dominant, achievement-oriented and confident (and thus show "male" behaviours) are often considered unpleasant and are passed over for high positions. But if they are gentle and understanding, they are often considered less competent. RSM PhD student Jasmien Khattab investigated the effectiveness of this opinion among 48 business service executives and 213 people from their teams and came to this conclusion in her recent study.
