Twitter is a source of information. By combining tweets intelligently, it is possible to discover how large groups of tourists make use of a city and where the emerging tourist hotspots are. This discovery was made by RSM's Tobias Brandt after analysing 600,000 in tweets sent in San Francisco. His approach can be useful for cities that want to stimulate their tourism industry and for businesses that want to leverage upon it.
