Self-driving vehicles are going to change the way we travel, live and work. But there are still many questions. All the attention seems to go to passenger transportation, but it is also applicable to goods transportation and there great strides in the field of smart mobility are already made. Truck platooning, or trucks driving in convoy, it is technically possible and offers interesting opportunities for the port of Rotterdam. Rob Zuidwijk of the Rotterdam School of Management, part of Erasmus University, is conducting research on the possibilities.
