Festive BSc and IBA graduation at Rotterdam's Nieuwe Luxor Theatre

Over two incredible days at the Nieuwe Luxor Theater in Rotterdam’s Kop van Zuid, Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) celebrated the graduation of more than 900 graduates across four bachelor (BSc) and international business administration (IBA) ceremonies. As the RSM Graduation Team, we’re delighted to have created an experience that was lively, festive and full of joy. Seeing the graduates, now new alumni, and their families leave with smiles and lasting memories has made it all worthwhile.

Energy and excitement at centre stage

From the opening moments, the Graduation Team crafted lively experiences, ensuring each event brimmed with energy and festivity. Graduates and their families left the Nieuwe Luxor in Rotterdam with broad smiles, and the new alumni reflected on the celebrations that marked the end of their academic journeys and the beginning of their new adventures.

Behind the scenes

A host of dedicated contributors have made these ceremonies shine. Luuk Veelenturf and Sandra Langeveld, masters of ceremony were truly show-stoppers; they sported glittering outfits and transformed the event into a spectacle. Name readers Jasmien Khattab, Christophe Lembregts, Arjen Mulder, Celine de Graaf-Koning, Stephan Kramer and Adri Meijdam read out all the graduates’ names with grace and professionalism. Lucas Meijs, chair of the RSM examination board, handed out hundreds of diplomas, shaking hands in a personal way with each graduate.

Special gratitude also goes to RSM Dean, Prof. Aukje Hassold, whose commitment – and racing between venues – ensured every moment ran seamlessly. Additionally, countless behind-the-scenes colleagues, from both Mandeville and Bayle worked with dedication to keep the celebrations running smoothly.

Shared accomplishments and bright futures

The success of these ceremonies stands as a tribute to the teamwork, enthusiasm and care of all involved. As RSM looks forward to next year’s graduation celebrations, the class of 2025 moves ahead with fond memories, ready to spark new successes worldwide.
