Without exception, the workshops were the cause of lively discussions reflecting important issues modern regulators are facing:
- Sharing of data between different regulators (Marcel Snippe)
- The use of moral messages to improve compliance (Han de Haas)
- The interaction between external and internal supervisors (Leonie Schakel)
- Amoralization as an indicator for non compliant behaviour (Martien van Helvoort)
- Goal displacement in public regulation (Kees Huizinga)
After an earlier symposium in October 2015, hosted by the Authority for Financial Markets in Amsterdam, the participants once more appreciated the way science and practice were brought together.
