Magic can happen when companies connect with aspiring young professionals in a unique setting. This year’s annual STAR Management Week will focus on engaging with others, creating your own future, and daring to inspire. It’s organised by study association STAR which is run by students from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM), and open to all students from Erasmus University Rotterdam. It will take place on campus from 24 October until 10 November

In these two weeks, there will be 60 companies represented at the more than 66 activities which cover on careers matters, academic perspectives and social events. Some highlights for this year include:

  • Talent talks: speakers from business and non-business sectors inspire the next generation with 15-minute stories on topics they are passionate about in an intimate theatre setting. After every speech, students can ask questions. The Talent Talks will end with networking drinks with the speakers and fellow students.
  • Bachelor running lunch: bachelor students can meet professionals from companies TOPdesk and Mazars that offer opportunities during or right after their studies, for examples internships, a working student programme or a job based on your interests and capacities. With every lunch course students switch between companies to see what company fits them best.

There will be an impressive lineup of speakers at STAR Management Week, including Micky Adriaansens (minister of economic affairs and climate policy – Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy), Maria Westerbos (founder and chief changemaker – Plastic Soup Foundation), Dagmar Oudshoorn (director – Amnesty International Netherlands), Joris Veger (director of leadership, culture and talent - The Kraft Heinz Company), Michiel Roodenburg (co-founder and CFO – Crisp) and Petra Vos (CEO – Fatboy).

Students can connect with a wide range of companies and platforms, including Unilever, Henkel, Amazon, PwC, Female x Finance, Accenture, Achmea, Vodafone, Hilti, KPMG, Coolblue, Quooker, Bol.com, Rituals, Van Oord, L’Oréal and more. See the full programme.
