Profile
Dr. Florian Madertoner is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Finance at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. An award-winning educator, he teaches corporate finance, economics, and executive education programmes, and supervises bachelor and master theses. His research interests include capital structure theory, behavioural finance, and economic history.
In executive education, Florian specializes in designing and delivering customized programmes that bridge finance, accounting, and corporate communication. He helps executives and communication professionals develop the financial understanding needed to engage confidently with boards, investors, analysts, and other financial stakeholders. His programmes combine financial expertise with practical communication skills, enabling participants to translate complex financial information into clear strategic narratives.
Florian has designed and delivered bespoke executive programmes for leading international listed companies, including major banks and other multinational organizations. His clients value his ability to tailor learning experiences to their specific strategic and organizational challenges, consistently receiving outstanding participant feedback.
Florian has received numerous teaching awards, including multiple Professor of the Year and Best Course awards, reflecting his commitment to engaging, practical, and impactful education.
