Isik Bicer joined the RSM as an Assistant Profesor of Supply Chain Management in 2017. Previously, Isik was a Postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of Technology and Operations Management of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL). In the spring semester of the 2017-2018 academic year, he worked as a Visiting Professor of Business Analytics at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland (HEC Lausanne).

Isik's research focuses on the integration of market dynamics into supply chain decisions. In particular, he develops analytical models that allow integration of the evolutionary dynamics of demand forecasts into inventory decisions. He also combines operational and financial models to price the value of operational flexibility strategies such as lead-time reduction and capacity expansion.
