Profile

Rasmus is an Assistant Professor of Organization Theory at the Department of Organisation and Personnel Management, Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.

His research illuminates the phenomenon of organisational misconduct – actions in or by an organization that violate norms and harm stakeholders, such fraud, human rights violations, violence and abuse, bribery, and others. In particular, he focuses on the social construction of organizational misconduct. He studies how social construction processes unfold between accused organizations and norm-enforcing actors such as such as regulators, courts, or the media, and how these processes affect organizational outcomes as well as the decision-making of top management. Overall, Rasmus work thus sheds light on the broad social problem of how organizations can be held accountable for harm that they cause.

Rasmus obtained his PhD in Strategic Management from the University of Cambridge. Before embarking on his academic career, he worked in the corporate social responsibility department of a global automotive supplier and as a management consultant for clients in the technology, mobility and financial services sectors.
